The Earlex Group started from modest beginnings and the passion and spirit that originally inspired this company are as strong today as they ever were. From a standing start and with very little manufacturing experience, Earlex was fuelled simply by a gutsy determination to make a go of it. The Earlex Group now consists of four companies and employs 230 staff across the UK, France, Germany and the USA.
There is no question that part of Earlex's success is thanks to the willingness and dedication of our staff who frequently choose to see 'challenges' as opportunities to learn and take satisfaction in producing first-class products and keeping our customers happy. The Group produces well-known and well-respected household, decorating and cleaning products which are exported all over the world. We also have a well deserved reputation for exceptional quality and innovative new product developments. In 2002 Earlex helped launch the British Made for Quality initiative as part of a drive to maintain a strong British manufacturing tradition - one that we should all encourage and be proud of.

Company Information - Earlex Limited was incorporated in 1987 on the back of one product, the world’s first DIY steam wallpaper stripper. This has gone from strength to strength and established a complete new category of decorating power tools and despite intense competition over the year, Earlex has stayed as market and brand leader. Now, not just in the UK but throughout Europe and more recently has moved into the USA. Over 6 ½ million wallpapers strippers have been sold in that time. In addition to this Earlex has driven paint spraying equipment into the DIY market and recently has celebrated selling over 1 million HVLP (high volume low pressure) Spray Stations. Since incorporation Earlex has expanded the DIY and professional markets for decorating power tools and power cleaning products, driven by a desire to design and develop feature packed products at new competitive price points to fuel the company’s growth and supply products that are reliable, safe and affordable – these have been the watchwords of Earlex’s success in the past and will continue to be so.
Innovation - Our commitment to innovation is not only evident in our product designs. In recent years we have radically altered the way in which we manufacture. Scrutinising efficiency and questioning how and why we work in certain ways has led to the introduction of lean manufacturing principles. The subsequent streamlining of our production lines has made the business much more efficient, simplifying stock control, reducing component storage requirements but, most importantly, allowing us to respond much faster and more effectively to our customers' needs. When it comes to design, Earlex is a company that is never satisfied. We combine skillful in-house engineering with input from consultants who constantly tell us we are their most demanding client. And why not? Our customers are demanding and we have a reputation to protect and an ambition to be the best. Our credibility is built on products that get the job done more safely, quicker and with less mess and less hassle than any others.
